It was back in 1905 that the Schnabel company was founded by Mr Rudolf Schnabel in the Czech town of Jablonec nad Nisou. In 1946, after the Second World War, the company was founded anew by Artur Schnabel in the Bavarian town of Kaufbeuren-Neugablonz. Today, the company is still in family hands with managing directors Wolfgang and Thomas Schnabel representing the third and fourth generations of the family respectively.
We specialise in metal stamping and centrifugal casting and set great store by the naturalistic appearance of the 30,000 articles that we currently manufacture. We not only develop and produce our own designs but also deal with special requests from customers for mass production runs and limited editions.
All our products are designed, crafted and produced by us in-house. When fulfilling customer requests, our on-site tool shop enables us to provide our usual fast response and to address individual requirements.
Our Schnabel-Zinn logo is a hallmark of excellence, assuring you of the high quality of our tin products. One line of business involves the manufacture of mechanical parts using centrifugal casting. Our success in this area can be seen in our construction of an H0 model railway: ‘der Adler ‘(a model of ‘the Eagle’, Germany’s first steam locomotive). We love to set ourselves new challenges in model construction and in manufacture. This is our latest innovation: three-dimensional tin castings measuring up to 55 cm.
